[Note: we're leaving this document in place for historical reasons, but
the only gopher curator/editor still slightly working on the project is
Jon Lebkowsky <[email protected]>, as of 6/6/99.]

This place is run by a group of ad-hoc editors.  All donate their time
(except for Matisse, who works at the WELL).  All are free to dabble,
add stuff, change stuff, and try to make it work.  You can email to all
of these folks at once via the address [email protected].

Some places in this Gopherspace you'll see initials of the editor who
wrote some piece of commentary or built some part of this Gopherspace.
The initials after each name will tell you who that is.

J Matisse Enzer (jme) ([email protected]) is the Godfather of this
project.  He was the Customer Support Manager at the WELL, and the one
who supported this project from the beginning. Matisse is now the owner
of "Internet Literacy Consulting", a San Francisco company that brings
indviduals and companies into Cyberspace. Matisse adds: "I envisioned
this gopher server as a _pro-bono_ service The WELL would provide to
the 'Net. Enjoy."

Other editors include: (we'll have more words when we force them to
write them):

Jerod Pore ([email protected])

Eric S. Theise ([email protected]) is a freelance net surfer, writer,
educator, and occasional filmmaker.  A former academic, he runs the
'Jacked In/Cyberspace Literacy' series at San Francisco's Modern Times
Bookstore and talks about networks to anyone who'll listen.  He's
currently working on the Knowledge Network, Pacific Bell's K-12 gopher.

Jon Lebkowsky ([email protected]) is a writer and editor for such
magazines as bOING-bOING, Mondo 2000, FringeWare Review, Unshaved
Truths, and more recently Whole Earth Review. He cohosts the Mondo
2000 and Whole Earth conferences on the WELL. With Paco Xander
Nathan, he owns FringeWare, Inc.

Paul Holbrook (ph) ([email protected]) works for CICNet, a
regional Internet provider in the Midwest.  He runs Gopher servers for
CICNet, and helped get this one started.
