BBS's in the 505 area code (such as Abacus) will need to be dialed like this:
ATDT 505-824-0049 Notice that there's no "1-" before the 505. That's not
needed, and if you do dial 1-505, your call will not go through. This was
implemented by Southwestern Bell, and will be REQUIRED on all calls in
another area code (that are considered a local call) after January 1st, 1995.
