The brief solution overview

1) Theatre: get the box and then enter the shadow behind the cabinet.

2) Road: Enter the chimney shadow.

3) Rodeo: Go to the alley and enter the shadow.

4) Grasslands: Get the jar and fill it with water.
  Try to put something on the "ground" to get the 1 point.
  Get the knife and then head SE until you reach the shadow.
  Return to the chimney road.

5) Road: Open the gate by oiling the west hatch, getting the 3 pods,
  oiling the east hatch and east wheel and then pushing the west pillar.

6) Dome: Pull the cord, Touch the flower. Move the blocks close together.

7) Castle: Pull the lever. Enter the balcony shadow.

8) Iceland: Get the blanket. Pour water in the cliff crack. Enter cave.
  Enter shadow in cave.

9) Sand Dome: Enter shadow on west side.

10) Flying in mist: Never move downhill (attraction). Move uphill
   (resistance) either north or south and then move uphill
   (resistance) either east or west. Enter ring of darkness.

11) Sand Dome: get the sphere. Return to the Rodeo.

12) Rodeo: get the fire square from the center of the mall.
   get the orange saddle from the show area. Cut the passive
   beast's tether. Put the saddle on the violet animal. Ride violet
   and then remove the harness strap.

13) Shady Park: Enter the pole shadow.

14) Dark noisy area: Follow the plooping sound. This will allow a new
   direction to travel in. Follow the thud sound. To get rid of the
   killer chord, "Sing to Box". Go to the glass noise area. Enter
   the silent area.

15) Cramped area: crush your remaining pod into the jar. Light the trickle.
   Thick/wide pipe moves you "right" 1 square. Thin/narrow
   pipe moves you "left" 1 square. Hit the pipes to move R, L, L, L,
   R, R, R, R. Ask for the thick pipe. Move R.

16) Shape plane: Ignore the shapes. Go south. X brown. Move brown.
   The brown will always show 2 possible changes. Pick the direction
   that will make it smooth and then light colored. Enter the ring
   of brightness. Answer No.
