On The Farm
A TADS Adventure

Author's note:

On the Farm was compiled with TADS version 2.4,
but I have had many problems with the TADS 2.4
runtime.  I have tested the game with TADS 2.51,
and it seems to fix several problems with
disambiguation that plagued my 2.4 version.
Additionally, the ending text and graphic do not
print out when you quit out of the 2.50 HTML TADS
runtime.  It does work with both the 2.4 and 2.51
versions.  The lesson here is please use the latest
HTML TADS runtime.

This is an HTML TADS game, meaning that it does
include graphics, sparse though they may be.
In fact, the only graphics are an opening
splash-shot, and a closing graphic when
the game ends.  The pictures are not critical
at all to game play.  So, if you have the
HTML runtime I would recommend playing
On the Farm in that, if not, don't worry, you
are not really missing any of the game
functionality. If you happen to be playing
On the Farm with the DOS TR runtime on a Windows PC,
I would recommend using the trcolor.dat file
included in this zip file to set the interpreter's
colors.
