Dodgers @ Marlins:
Terrific game that went to extra innings. Too many dodger fans in the stands for
a game in Miami. Mookie Betts with a two home run game - the most exciting and
fun player to root for in baseball IMHO. The Dodgers are a buzzsaw - Craig
Kimbrel came in late to punch three out and his pitches were sexy as hell -
filthy stuff... Evanne and I were gasping and fanning ourselves after each of his
deliveries.
Today 08/26/2022:
Crystal Palace @ Manchester City:
Very fun game that see-sawed after halftime. Palace came out in the first half
and pressed and got two goals, but in the second half, predictably, City turned
the screws and the goals began to come. Haaland looked indomitable in a
hat-trick performance, with the third a marvelous display of strength and
finesse, Haaland having held off two defenders while placing a shot from under
his feet perfectly into the side netting on a breakaway. May have been a perfect
hat-trick even.
