It's broken shitty UI is giving me headaches, and that's not even mentioning how bad it integrates with external tool (hint: it fucking doesn't).
The only way to interact with it is through its broken UI:
- over-use of javascript
- shitty/unusable mobile version
- social media centric
- star/fork whoring encouraged
- ...
The code of a repository is barely considered useful content, to the point that the mobile UI doesn't even bother displaying it! However, you get a nicely working button that fills HALF MY SCREEN to "star" the repo ??? I cannot even see the code dude !!
I've been trying to contribute to a project from my phone for the last 20 minutes, and the only pain point is getting my code to github! I've been git cloning, commiting on my phone without issues, I even edited stuff using the mighty ed(1), and all this wasn't even remotely difficult compared to forking and submitting a patch via the github interface !!!
I fucking hate Github.
