This is the README.fanpost file, a collection of fan post about UC.

`Overall I am very pleased.'

`I think you have a winner on your hands. I sincerly wish you the best with UC.
It makes my computer life more enjoyable.'

`I want this!  No, I *need* this.  I'm relying on it more every day!'

`Actually, I've only been using it for today, but I like it already!'

`I think there are a lot of great features to this, and I've been
waiting a long time for something like it to come along.  Keep up the
good work!'

`I'm a believer in the idea of GUI's as shortcuts not straight jackets and I
think this file sys navigator fits the bill on that..'

`Wow!  I'm impressed with your response times actually!  I get a quicker
result from your work than from our own software support staff!'

`Great thing. Go on like this and have a nice one!'

`BTW:  I really like the make file functions you've added, I've already
set them up so I can hit enter on my most common file types and run the
associated program, it's a big help!'

`I find the software very useful.'

`thank you for your letter. I've got uc 0.411 and launched it.
It's great. Just the program I was looking for all the years.'

`You have won the golden nose for programming it!
( We used to say it at our technical support :-)'

`The main feature which I liked was that it was tree oriented
rather then those *^%%*^&%* folders which unfortunatly lots of OSs think
are the next great thing'

`I love Norton Commander for DOS, UC replaces what I like
about NC and adds features I always felt were missing. Nice job!'

`It is what IRIX was missing! Thank you.'

`Please KEEP the fun!!!'

> How do you rank the tool in comparison to SGI's own workspace program ?
`Far superior in both speed and intuitiveness.'

`THERE IS NO COMPARISON TO SGI'S WORKSPACE.  I like this one much better
it seems to be much more user friendly.'

> Did you ever have a crash, or irrecoverable situation ?
`Surprizingly not.'

> Did you ever loose any data, be it by a tool failure or your own error
> while using it ?
`No.'

> Overall, how would you classify the tool with regards to stability ?
`Very stable'

Note to the reader: We also had NEGATIVE comments, of course. For every
shell, you can fight holy wars, and UC is a graphical shell. My favourite
comments where from one member of the developement team for a major
point-click-curse file manager:

`It doesn't do drag & drop'

Or here another muttered curse, from somebody who (rightly) complained
about the slow network speed of the original DGL versions (the current
X versions are about ten times faster):

`I have erased all the copies of UC from my harddiscs !'

I have no problems with the erasing ... as long as he used `F11-Delete'
to do so :-)

I'll end the quote file with a particularly uplifting quote from
Rick Sayre of Pixar, whom I asked about his opinion about a competitor:

`"Indigo Magic" is a steaming buttload of shit.  You can quote that...'
