# TeX Live 2025 - installer packages

This directory contains a network-based installer and packages for TeX
Live <https://tug.org/texlive/>.  It is mirrored via CTAN <https://ctan.org/>.

The TeX Live web pages <https://tug.org/texlive/> have information on:

If you have a complete copy of this directory (for example, via
rsync), including the archive/ and tlpkg/ subdirectories, you can run
the install-tl (install-tl-windows.bat for Windows) script present here.

The update-tlmgr-latest.sh and .exe archives here are one way to
update tlmgr itself, or to recover from tlmgr
being completely broken <https://tug.org/texlive/tlmgr.html#disaster>.

It is not recommended, but as an alternative to this network install,
you can use the giant ISO image of the distribution
<http://mirror.ctan.org/systems/texlive/Images/>.
