The German dictionary now has two parts.  "Deutsches Lexikon" is
a traditional German dictionary.  "Neues Deutsches Lexikon" is a
dictionary that contains words which have a new spelling as of
August 1, 1998.  Since the old spelling will probably be used for
some time, you should use both dictionaries together.  See

Das vorliegende "Neue Deutsche Lexikon" ist eine
Zusammenstellung kuenftiger Neuschreibungen, die nach
Einfuehrung der neuen Rechtschreibung am 1. August 1998
verwendet werden sollen. Naehere Informationen unter
"http://www.duden.de/". Das "Neue Deutsche Lexikon" sollte nur in
Verbindung mit dem "Deutschen Lexikon" in Excalibur genutzt
werden.
