This is Python 1.3, built for Irix 5.3. It should also work for Irix 5.2.
This version of Python contains the following builtin modules
al array audioop binascii cd cl crypt dbm fcntl fm gdbm gl grp imageop
imp marshal math md5 nis posix pwd regex rgbimg rotor select sgi signal
socket strop struct sv sys time timing tkinter
It also includes readline support for interactive use.
The tar file contains
bin/python
lib/python/ [lots of stuff]
include/Py/ [include files]
The optimal place to install this is under /usr/local.
It was built with SGI's cc on an Indy SC running Irix 5.3.
