This directory contains the official POV-Ray 2.2 archives created by the
POV-Ray Development Team.  The original location of these files on internet
is alfred.ccs.carleton.ca (134.117.1.1).  Begining with this release, this
site will no longer retain any versions of POV-Ray other than the most recent
version.  We ask that any sites which mirror this official site and any
BBS or other service which redistributes POV-Ray to please remove any
earlier versions of our official files from circulation.  Note that we do
allow unofficial versions of POV-Ray to be distributed under the rules
outlined in POVLEGAL.DOC.  Please retain only the most recent available
version of these custom versions as well.  For example a custom compile for
XYZ-Workstation version 2.1 should only be retained if no 2.2 version is
available.  An important provision of our rules is that custom versions
must be clearly marked as unofficial.  We ask sysops and site managers to
do what they can to clearly distinguish the official archives obtained here
from custom versions submited by others.
