Pan 0.11.90 "The Common Wages of their Most Secret Heart" has been released.
It can be found at http://pan.rebelbase.com/.

What is Pan?

Pan is a newsreader, loosely based on Agent and Gravity, which
attempts to be pleasant to use for new and advanced users alike.
It has all the typical features found in newsreaders and also
supports offline newsreading, article filtering, multiple connections,
and a number of extra features for power users and alt.binaries fans.

It's also the only Unix newsreader to get a perfect score on the
Good Net-Keeping Seal of Approval evaluations.  See
http://pan.rebelbase.com/features.html for the rest of the sales pitch.

About 0.11.90

This is a port of Pan to gtk2.  It's being developed in parallel with
Pan 0.11.3 (which uses gtk1), so 0.11.9x and 0.11.2.9x share bugfixes
and features.  However, 0.11.9x adds some new, unique features:

   * Pan can now display and post messages and headers in their appropriate
     charsets and fonts.

   * Pan 0.11.90 has the option to build without Gnome.  This is to make
it easier to install Pan on small systems (and, soon, Windows).

   * Better display of inline images.

   * The article filter GUI has been rewritten so that several changes can
be made at once in a single refiltering, so that subject/author filters
can be kept as one changes from group to group, and so that it is
     completely navigatable from keyboard accelerators.
