I have just uploaded to CPAN a new release of the IO distribution.
There are only two changes since 1.08
The main change is to IO::Socket::connect as previous versions did not
handle timeouts correctly. It should now, I think :-)
A minor change to IO::Handle::new_from_fd
The change to IO::Socket::connect fixes, well it should, such a major
problem that it warrants a new release
It should be avaliable on mirror sites soon.
