Sybperl, the OpenClient extensions to Perl, version 2b2 has been
released, and is available now from
ftp://ftp.demon.co.uk/pub/perl/db/mod/Sybase/sybperl-2b2.tar.gz, and,
hopefully soon, from mirror sites and from
http://www.sybase.com/WWW/Sybperl/index.html.

New in this release:

       Sybase::DBlib now includes dbrpc*() calls

Sybase::CTlib has been completeley reviewed. The API
specification has been discussed in cooperation with Amy Lin &
Dave Bowen (@ Sybase). Though the API is still far from
complete it does now cover all the basic functions that are
required to use CTlibrary from Perl.

       The documentation has been re-written.

NOTE regarding CTlib:

This is still a *test* release, and the API is still subject to
change.  However, I think that the chance of having the current API
altered in a significant way is small, although *additions* to the
current API are quite possible. I encourage you to try it out in
real-life situations (though maybe not in absolutely critical
applications :-), and to send me any feed-back you may have, so that we
can get the bugs out of this module as quickly as possible.

Comments, critics, etc. are welcome!

Michael
