Kaffe File Repository

This is the official file repository for releases of Kaffe, a free software
virtual machine.   For more information on Kaffe, see http://www.kaffe.org/

The new version numbering scheme for Kaffe releases follows the model used
by the Linux kernel, with the version number split into a major, minor and
sublevel (eg. XX.YY.ZZ, where XX is the major number, YY is the minor number,
and ZZ is the sublevel).  Minor version numbers that are odd (eg. 1.0.7, 1.0.8,
1.2.0, 1.2.1) will be reserved for "production releases", which will have been
tested for several weeks before being released.  Minor version numbers that are
even will be reserved for "development releases", which are intended for
developers only, and will have little or no testing done to them prior to
being released.  Only use the development releases of Kaffe if you are willing
to follow along with development and use the mailing lists for support.
