The ROAMOPS WG met twice at the Washington DC IETF on Monday and
Wednesday afternoon.
At the meetings we decided to move the NAI draft to last call. We also
decided to update the charter since it is out of date.
At the Munich IETF we decided to hold off on the Roaming Requirements
draft since we were uncomfortable with the security issues which were
raised in the mailing list. Now that we understand the security issues
Bernard Aboba will update the document and move it to last call.
A milestone was reached within the WG. We identified that the current
"defacto" authentication/accounting protocol, RADIUS, does NOT meet
the requirements set in the roaming requirements draft. It was decided
that RADIUS will be removed from the requirements draft and it will no
longer be considered as a protocol to suit ROAMOPS needs.
The roaming requirements draft will also be updated to include the
latest phonebook requirements.
