ACTUAL STATUS

WinFbb32, 32 bits code for Windows (from now WinFbb), is under
development.
Actual phase is alpha (previous to beta).
This means:

  - Not all is finished
  - Some functions are not implemented
  - It can contain bugs
  - It can be unestable

Alpha versions are for people who wants to evaluate the latest
and is familiar with this software. It is not recommended for
new users or regular use.

Only files with changes are supplied. Rest must be extracted
from the package of a previous version.

There will not be a full installation until the beta phase
because now the priority is to finish the main functionality.

Your help and bug reports will be appreciated.

If you are going to report a bug, be sure it is not already
fixed in a newer revision, check the history.txt file. Please,
include all details about the bug detected and your configuration.

HOW TO RUN

Read all the following text before to start.

You need Windows 95 OSR2, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT4+SP3 or
Windows 2000. It will not run under Windows 3.1 with win32s extensions.

Not all the files are supplied, so you need a previous version of
WinFbb installed into your system. It can be found at ftp.f6fbb.org
and mirrors.

Download the last executable setup file in the alpha directory
(at this time 'WinFbb701-20-Setup.exe') and install it. Download
the last win701-xx.zip file and replace files.

Execute WinFbbCfg to set your preferences.

Use the shortcut placed in start menu by the previous installation
to run.



Remember: this is an alpha version, so backup all your files before
to replace because you may need them later...
