You are now reading the invitation info file for Bushparty ][. The
information presented in this file might not be final, so please
try to look for a new version of this text file.

This is absolutely not the biggest party arranged in Norway, but
our intention is to gather the Norwegian demoscene. We all know
how parties like The Gathering are?! 80% of the visitors is playing
games and watching pictures for 4 days. If you are one of those, then
don't even think about coming ;)

�� WHERE AND WHEN ��

Bushparty ][ will be held in a sports centre called Stridsklev
hallen in Porsgrunn, Norway. The party will start 00:00 the
30th of June and will end 12:00 the 4th of July.

�� 1. HOW TO GET TO THE PARTYPLACE ��

There are ofcourse several ways to get to the partyplace..
Most likely you will travel by train or car. If you're going
by car then check out BP2_MAP.GIF included in this package.
This map explains the way from Porsgrunn to Stridsklevhallen,
and you should be able to find the way to Porsgrunn yourself.
If you're going by train then you have to travel a few km with
bus aswell. When the train stops in Porsgrunn you just walk over
to the bus terminal right across the street. There you will see
a sign marked "Stridsklev".. So.. Just wait for the bus to arrive
and then ask the bussdriver to tell you when to get off. (You're
going to Stridsklev (read:Stridsklevhallen)). That should be
just about it.. If you are a bit puzzled now, then call one
of the numbers in the end of this textfile to get more information.

�� 2. COMPETITIONS ��

The organizers reserve the right to make any changes to the
competition rules, and to disqualify any entry if it is not
suitable to attend the competitions for some reason.

Atleast one of the competiting team has to be present at the
party place and in the case of a solo competition the competitor
has to be present.

All intros, pictures and songs will be spread at the partyplace
by the organizers.

PC COMPETITIONS:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
INTRO - Maximum size in executable form is 64 kb
(65536 bytes)
- Maximum showing time is 5 minutes
- Pure animation files not accepted
- 100% VGA register level compatible
graphics modes and SVGA 640x480 are
accepted (VESA 1.2)
- The intro MUST NOT save anything on
the hard disk

4KB-INTRO - Maximum size in executable is 4096 bytes
- Maximum running length is 3 minutes
- Only one intro by one coder
- 100% VGA register level compatible
graphics modes and SVGA 640x480 are
accepted (VESA 1.2)
- The intro MUST NOT save anything on
the hard disk

AMIGA COMPETITIONS:

THE GRAPHICS COMPETITIONS:

GRAPHICS - The maximum resolution is 640x480
- The maximum amount of simultaneous
onscreen colors is 256
- Pictures drawn on amiga will be
shown with Amiga Brilliance
- PC pictures will be show in QPEG 1.6
- Scanned or ripped pictures will be
disqualified
- Only one picture by one artist

THE MUSIC COMPETITIONS:

4CHANNEL - Maximum size is 1024kb
- Maximum ammount of channels is 4
- Maximum running length is 3 minutes
- All songs will be played on a PC
using a Gravis Ultrasound with 1MB
memory and CapaMod 2.23
- All entried must be in MOD format
- Only one song by one musician

MULTICHANNEL - Maximum size is 1024kb
- Maximum amount of channels is 32
- Maximum running length is 3 minutes
- The format has to be one of the following:
S3M, XM, MID and MOD
- All songs will be played on a PC
using a Gravis Ultrasound with 1MB
memory and FT2, ST3 or CubicPlayer 0.96b

�� 2.1. COMPETITION RULES ��

PC COMPETITION RULES:

The competition machine we will use:
- i486DX2 66Mhz with 8MB of RAM
- MS-DOS 6.20
- Cirrus Logic 5426 VLB SVGA-board
- 1 MB Gravis Ultrasound card or
original Sound Blaster Pro 2.0

AMIGA COMPETITIONS RULES:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The competition machine we will use:
- A4000 with 2 mega chip + 4 mega fast
- All competition entried must work on
a Amiga 1200 with 2 mega chip.

�� 3. PRIZES ��

The prizes have not been decided yet. But trust us, we'll make
it worth creating a contribution for all the competitions!

�� 4. PARTY FEATURES ��

The main hall will be equipped with a powerfull sound system and
the big screen is identical to the one used at TG93/94(?). The big
screen will also be used for displaying information and messages
trough the party.

The main hall is more than 5 times as big as the one we used last
year, so there should be space enough for everyone. Sleeping will
also be allowed in the main hall, but seperate rooms with showers
are also available for sleeping.

We will also have our own private cinema at the party. We have a
laserdisc system including dolby surround sound - setup by
proffesional people. We have over 300 movie titles, and Destiny
will also show up with lots'a new movies. Most likely we will also
show all the Star Trek TNG season 7 episodes.

Softdrinks like Coke will be sold 24H. And food can be bought in
a shopping centre (50 metres from the partyplace) all day. In the
same centre there is a kiosk selling cheap and good tasting pizza.

�� 5. BUYING TICKETS ��

There are two kind of tickets for Bushparty ][. If you pay when you
come to the partyplace it will cost you 170,-. If you pay in advance
by registering at Sidewalk Caf� or calling one of the organizers the
price is 150,-. If you pay in advance you will also be able to reserve
a place for you and your computer. If you want to pay in advance you
must register BEFORE 16th June 1995.
