Subject: How to order Coast msdos and win3 files by e-mail (980107)
[File: /Coast/msdos/filedocs/mailserv.inf Last Revised: Jan. 7, 1998]
If you do not have FTP access to the mirrors of the Coast to Coast
Software Repository (tm), FTP may be performed through the mail by
various ftp-mail servers.
ftp.sunet.se maintains our archive on their server, so I would suggest
trying their server first. To retreive a file from their server via
ftpmail, do the following:
reply
[email protected]
connect ftp.sunet.se
chdir /pub2/pc/mirror/Coast/dir/dir2 (where dir is the
collection, msdos, win3, etc., & dir2 is the directory under that
collection, desktop, html, internet, etc.)
dir
binary
uuencode (or mime as you prefer)
get filename.zip
quit

There are other ftpmail servers on the Internet, but generally if the
files are on the server running ftpmail, your request will be given a
higher priority. Below are a few of the other known servers around the
world:
