Hello Gophers!

I have now come down with Corona myself. Not fun. I am feeling very tired and
all my muscles are aching. But I think that if I was not fully vaccinated, it
would be far worse. Yay for vaccines!

This all means I get to work from home for longer, and therefore I have cleaned
up my workspace in the attic to be a bit less full. I have thrown away an old
computer, a screen with a panel fault, and some other items like a broken ampli-
fier that was lying around for too long already. Unfortunately my oscilloscope
broke. It was a very old Philips PM3200X (from the eighties I think) so I do not
want to try to repair it. I just threw it out as well. Fortunately my son had an
oscilloscope lying around that he did not use, so I got this one on my workbench
now. Looks better now, and working there is a bit more pleasureable.

I watched a nice documentary about life behind the iron curtain today (I recor-
ded it from Dutch television last night) and as always I found it very interes-
ting. I can not precisely pinpoint why I am interested in the Iron Curtain or
the DDR/GDR in particular, but somehow I always enjoy reading about it or watch-
ing something. I am a big believer in personal freedom, and also in fencing for
yourself when you can, but there is something about the DDR/GDR/Eastern Bloc
that strikes my imagination everytime. Strange...

I'm gonna take this Saturday as slow as I can, as everything is quite achey at
the moment and I do not feel very vivid as of yet.

Anyway, have a nice weekend!

Cheers,

Fripster
