Hello Gophers!

I feel the need to write about money today. We just came back from church, and
our minister held a sermon about being grateful for the things you got. God
gives you a certain amount of wealth, and it should be enough for you. Also you
should strive to help others that are struggling, using the wealth you have, if
you have it.

That in itself is not a strange way of looking at it from a Christian's point
of view, but it struck me that the contrast with a book I am reading at the mom-
ent is so extremely big.

I am reading the book "Spotify" by Sven Carlsson and Jonas Leijonhufvud (ISBN
978 90 215 7547 6) about how the well-known streaming service was built. This is
a book about technology, but (in my humble opinion) first and foremost about ma-
king money. The story reads as "how to get rich in the music business as quickly
as possible", and talks not alone about Daniel Ek from Spotify, but also all the
other players in the music business and music streaming business.

Very big contrast, indeed. I think I am more for the "be happy with what you
have" thing, than the insatiable lust for more, more more.

But ok, that's me. Others are (obviously!) not thinking the same way.

Just some thoughts on a Sunday night. Have a good working week all!

Cheers,

Fripster
