Greetings Delta Members and Amateurs and Happy New Year!
We have the Annual Meeting of ARRL Board of Directors next week, January
19 - 22, 2022, and Vice Director Hudgens and I seek your further input
as to any issues that you might wish the Board to address. One such
issue of concern is the US Forestry Service proposal of use fees. We
will be discussing this as it may cause a hardship on may clubs, ARES
organizations and members repeaters. These repeaters tend to be in
strategic locations and critical for emergency communications. The ARRL
will be addressing this issue on behalf of the membership. Also, the
Board will be addressing several issues to better serve our local clubs,
Elmering/mentoring help for new amateurs and more resources/services for
the rank-and-file member. Please give us your feedback and we will
bring it up to the Board.
Reminder: Your club can get money back if you renew ARRL memberships
through the club. This one key point of per capita rebates to an ARRL
Affiliated club that can benefit both the club and the members. Please
consider this option at your club meetings and take advantage of the
program.
