I was thinking about this bob; and then I thought like... man if eINK was a
little (lot) better and a LOT (at least a little) cheaper, wouldn't that be an
awesome way... they stay active without power and would be perfect for this. I
think the most is 7 colors and... just not a fit.
If I went with TVs, the most important thing would be how thick they are...
and, I wouldn't need 55s!!! Like a 24, 18 or 32 would be more than enough...
I thought about old monitors from goodwill ($13.99 for computer ones, $34.99
for 32-42 sized TV ones) and taking the displays out of the cases.
I've looked on Alibaba and there are some displays that will work, that are
just the controller card and the panels.... so; I guess I already know my
answer(s) but thought maybe someone had the ah-ha suggestion. :P
Anyway, if I do realize this project I'll post links for sure.
