Subj : Monitor/Display suggestions?

I'm trying to source parts for a project.
I want to buy 2-4 monitors/displays to display ANSI art, BMP, JPG, Teletype,
ASCII, etc... no video.
I was even thinking about eINK but... most are b&w, the color ones are
sometimes 3 or 7 colors and they are EXPENSIVE - and theres ZERO possibility of
displaying videos, or even animated art/GIFs.
Every month the new BLOCKTRONICS and MiSTiGRiS comes out and I want to display
these, and my favorite ANSI and other (static) art. In my brain, I envision
like 2 large movie-poster sized (or a little smaller) screens, thin... and
maybe a couple others that are odd sized. I've seen some sware monitors on
Alibaba - I guess I could do the old broken-laptop controller ordering, but I'd
love to find a bigger solution that might even look NICE when I install them in
some fancy frames or display.
Anyway, in my man-cave/computer room I want to create an arduino/raspberry pi
project that turns on with motion and sends random (but programmed - one
display is for the NEW artpacks, one is for AMiGA ASCII fonts, one is my
/favorites folder and one can possibly be video or something.
Any ideas on what type of displays to use for this TYPE of media?
ANSI/ASCII/animated GIF/JPG-BMP-ETC video is the last thing I may want to put
on one. Want them to be LIKE movie-posters... smaller is OK, but I'd love huge
ones. :P
Gosh, thanks ladies n gents for not jumping my lame diarrhea of the mouth
thoughts...
