A labour market survey, which is a government process proving that you have a
skill that other people in the market you want to work in and proof that there
is a lack of people in the area you want to move to with that same skill who
are Canadian.
You then need to renew that survey every year. If you can pull off keeping it
active for 5 years then you can apply for citizenship. You could also marry a
Canadian and live here for a year without being able to work. After that year
you can apply for a work permit and then after 5 years apply for citizenship.
