This sums up my childhood to a T.

You know, I was watching the old early 90s Kid N Play film (which was really
for kids) called "House Party" and it's crazy to see how commonplace
homophobia was. Like, the punchline of every single insult was to suggest
someone else was gay. Insanity.

Yeah, I'm with you. I'm really interested to read a history book in 50 years
and get a hot take from an actual researcher or historian because I can't
wrap my head around it. We were a bunch of assholes.

I think it's probably a lot of this but on the whole, society changed because
of technology. And as much as we want to be mad that kids are stuck in their
phones all day, we should acknowledge that there are some benefits :)
