There are a lot of arguments here but the one that's most compelling to me is
that if you're able to be spied on by the company, you can be compromised
when your data is exfiltrated. Signal doesn't decrypt anything; it's all end
to end and private, so even if your data is exfiltrated, it's not useful
(until we can break the encryption which would take a lot of effort and
money).
