Subj : Tom Dick and Harry?

Okay, if there was a way to lock my user name to only me, this would solve a
few issues I have. Imagine if you will, you're out and about. Your phone gives
you a beep, because someone mentioned you in a post.
Cannot happen here, as there could be a Tom in Russia who is Crackerjak, or a
Dick in Africa who is Crackerjak, and a Harry in the UK that is also a
Crackerjak.
I understand the diversity of BBS's. PCs never play nice with anthing other
than a PC. So is this even a possibility, that I could have my handle across
BBS's running on OS's across the globe? I strongly doubt it. There would have
to be a centralized hub of every user account that would have to be checked
every time some harry dick named tom tried to login as my handle to prevent
this. But could this hub/database ever see the light of day and would it be
practical to the BBS community?
