That sounds pretty awesome!  Does it play random old TV shows?  That would
be really cool.

Can't help you there... I took a python class once.  All I got out of it
was that I was better off sticking to COBOL.  :)

I have been wanting to eventually take a bunch of the DVDs I have, save
the content digitally, and then set up a Pi or other sbc as an input to my
TV.  When there is nothing good on cable, I could switch over and see what
the home network is playing... an old Woody the Woodpecker, Popeye, or
Looney Tunes, or maybe an episode of the Twilight Zone, Outer Limits, or
One Step Beyond.  Or maybe some old Indycar race.

My challenge would be getting it to not be playing the videos quite so
randomly... I would want the old TV episodes played in cronological order.
I think I could at least fix that in my file naming conventions.  I figure
programming that in COBOL would be a real challenge!  :D
