MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Peanut Butter Cookies
Categories: Cookies, Snacks, Nuts
     Yield: 3 Dozen

     1 c  Shortening
     1 c  Peanut butter
     1 c  Sugar
     1 c  Packed brown sugar
     3 lg Eggs; room temp
     3 c  A-P flour
     2 ts Baking soda
   1/4 ts Salt

 Set oven @ 375oF/190oC.

 In a large bowl, cream shortening, peanut butter and
 sugars until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Add eggs, 1
 at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine
 flour, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture and
 mix well.

 Roll into 1 1/2" balls. Place 3" apart on ungreased
 baking sheets. Flatten with a meat mallet or fork if
 desired. Bake 10-15 minutes. Remove to wire racks to
 cool.
