Title: Snickerdoodles

Yield: 20 servings
1/2 c Butter; softened
1 c + 2 tb sugar; divided
1 lg Egg; room temp
1/2 ts Vanilla extract
1 1/2 c A-P flour
1/4 ts Baking soda
1/4 ts Cream of tartar
1 ts Ground cinnamon
Set oven @ 375ºF/190ºC.
Cream butter and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy;
beat in egg and vanilla. In another bowl, whisk together
flour, baking soda and cream of tartar; gradually beat
into creamed mixture.
In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and remaining 2 Tbsp.
sugar. Shape dough into 1" balls; roll in cinnamon
sugar. Place 2" apart on ungreased baking sheets.
Bake until light brown, 10-12 minutes. Remove from pans
to wire racks to cool.
