     Title: Chocolate Mincemeat Bars
Categories: Cookies, Snacks, Chocolate
     Yield: 36 servings

   1/2 c  Shortening
     1 c  Sugar
     3 lg Eggs; room temp
     2 c  A-P flour
     2 ts Baking soda
 1 3/4 c  Mincemeat
     2 c  Semisweet chocolate chips
          Confectioners' sugar

 In a large bowl, cream shortening and sugar until light
 and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating
 well after each addition. Combine flour and baking soda;
 gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Beat
 in mincemeat. Stir in chocolate chips.

 Spread into a greased 15" X 10" X 1" baking pan. Bake @
 375ºF/190ºC for 15-20 minutes or until dark golden
 brown. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars. Dust with
 confectioners' sugar.
