MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Patio Pinto Beans

     Yield: 10 servings

   1/2 lb Bacon strips; chopped
     1 lg Onion; chopped
     2 cl Garlic; minced
    90 oz (6 cans) pinto beans; rinsed
          - drained
    32 oz (4 cans) tomato sauce
     8 oz (2 cans) chopped green
          - chilies
   1/3 c  (packed) brown sugar
     1 ts Chilli spce mix
   3/4 ts Salt
   1/2 ts Dried oregano
   1/4 ts Pepper

 Set oven @ 350ºF/175ºC.

 In a Dutch oven, cook bacon over medium heat until
 crisp, stirring occasionally. Remove with a slotted
 spoon; drain on paper towels. Discard drippings,
 reserving 2 tablespoons in pan.

 Add onion to drippings; cook and stir over medium heat
 6-8 minutes or until tender. Add garlic; cook 1 minute
 longer. Stir in beans, tomato sauce, green chiles, brown
 sugar and seasonings. Sprinkle top with bacon. Bake,
 covered, 60-70 minutes or until heated through.
