Hi Shawn,

RH> I think it was a bad batch of tires; that's why he wants to contact
RH> the National Transportation Safety Board about a possible recall.

SH> Let us know if he ends up getting them covered.

Will do; he will probably wait until some time next week to do so. He's
got cataract surgery Monday and we're still unpacking from the trip.

RH> early because of the hurricane coming in. Spending the night in a
RH> Cracker Barrel parking lot, not luxury but a place to set up for the

SH> Yes I'd have left early too! ;)

Quite a harrowing experience; Steve rates it just behind the trip we
made thru a blizzard in early 2013. Interstate 40 and all other roads
west of Asheville, NC into eastern Tennesee were closed because of rock
and mud slides on Friday; we drove thru the area on Thurday in heavy
rain. Got home yesterday, looks like Wake Forest just got wind and rain.
Tornadoes touched down in several places in eastern NC, western part of
the state is dealing with heavy flooding. Do know that one other couple
from the rally got home (just above Phhiladelphia, PA) late Thursday
night.

RH> I can understand not wanting to get the flu but you need to get
RH> something done about the leg. Guess that's part of the "fun and joy"
RH> of socialised medicine, glad we don't have to rely on that.

SH> We have private clinics as well.  I just can't afford it, I work for a
SH> living so
SH> I don't have any extra money.  As it is I have to dip into a line of
SH> credit most
SH> months just to keep a roof over our heads.

SH> Sure glad I don't have to rely on only private clinics or I'd have
SH> been dead years ago. LOL

OK, I understand. We've gone thru some pretty tight times too, but in
our earlier years. Had some good medical coverage from where Steve
worked so major bills (and other, basics) were covered.

SH> I never spit in your drink, so why do you smoke in my air?

I like that--have to remember it and use it whenever I encounter a heavy
smoker.
