First 14 episodes.  He was there for the first two series.  He left due to
illness.  The Seymour actor left due to the illness of his wife, IIRC.  I
think that Brian Wilde (Foggy) departed the first time because he got tired
of being the butt of many of the jokes, and maybe the second time due to
retirement but I don't remember for sure.

Me also.  The Clegg-Compo-Foggy trio is my favorite.  The one thing I liked
about the Seymour era was that it brought us the Pegden family,
although Wesley had appeared a time or two before then.

Indeed.  I also liked her accent.

I've never seen the former, but the latter has aired here at least once and
I did enjoy it.

I am going to have to share this link with my mother.  She is a huge fan of
the show.
