Hi Dave,

DD> I definitely like Popeyes chicken better. I don't find a lot to pick
DD> between their cole slaws (locally).

RH> I like Popeyes chicken better too. Been so long since I've had KFC
RH> slaw, I remember it as one of those fine chopped, oil & vinegar salads.
RH> Popeyes has some body to it, and a mayo based dressing.

DD> The Kentucky Fried Colonel here (we only have a sngle store these
DD> days) has a mayonnaise based slaw that compares well to Popeyes - even
DD> if their chicken doesn't

DD>       Title: Popeyes Coleslaw (Copycat)
DD>  Categories: Greens, Vegetables, Sauces
DD>       Yield: 8 servings

DD>       1 c  Mayonnaise
DD>     1/4 c  Cugar
RH>                 *****

RH> * Better correct this typo in your MM

DD> Good catch. Another reason not to edit my own copy.

RH> I've done enough proof reading for others over the years that typos
RH> jump out at me.

DD> Typos do in other's copy. Not so if I'm re-reading my own. The mind
DD> sees what it thinks should be there - right or wrong.

RH> ... Two wrongs don't make a right but, two Wrights made an aeroplane

DD> And three rights will make a left (turn).  Bv)=

RH> Another right is that of free speech.

DD> As long as you don't intrude on other's space/rights.

DD> Along with the right of free speech is the right of assembly - so long
DD> as it doesn't scare those in power.  Bv)=

And others, as granted in the Bill of Rights, including the right to
bear arms (not to arm bears).

DD> This is a sort-of modified KopyKat of KFC coleslaw. I was surprised at
DD> the use of Miracle Wimp so I looke at others including one from a
DD> former KFC employee - and, yeah, the Colonel used Miracle Wimp.

And I'm not a fan of Miracle Whip. I'd use Duke's but been buying an
avocado oil based mayo the past few years, has no chemicals in it.

DD>       Title: Copycat KFC Coleslaw
DD>  Categories: Salads, Vegetables, Greens
DD>       Yield: 10 servings

DD>   If you are lucky enough to have a food processor, get it
DD>   out of your cupboard. Start to cut up the cabbage and
DD>   place it in the processor. While cutting up the cabbage,
DD>   also cut up small slices of green pepper, onion, and
DD>   carrot and add to the processor.

DD>   If you do not have a food processor, no problem, simply
DD>   chop the cabbage, onions, and carrots into small pieces.
DD>   Add chopped green bell pepper if desired.

And that's why I don't like KFC slaw; it's too finely chopped for me.
