MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Basic Whole Wheat Bread
Categories: Breads, Camping
     Yield: 1 Loaf

     4 c  Whole wheat flour
     1 ts Salt
   1/4 c  Shortening or oil
     1 tb Yeast
     2 tb Molasses
   1/2 c  Powdered milk
     4 ts Baking powder
 1 1/4 c  Water; warm

 Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water and allow to sit 5 minutes.

 Stir in sugar, salt, and baking powder. Slowly stir in flour and
 powdered milk.

 Beat dough vigorously 2 to 3 minutes until dough is elastic (add more
 flour if dough is watery).

 Knead for 10 minutes and allow to rise 1 to 2 hours, covered.

 Punch dough down and let it rise until it springs back when you stick
 your finger in it.

 Place dough in a small pot or pan and bake covered by either steam or
 hot coal method, 40 to 50 minutes.
