Title: Contest Winning Pepperoni Pizza Chilli

Yield: 12 servings
2 lb Ground beef
1 lb Hot Italian sausage
1 lg Onion; chopped
1 lg Bell pepper; chopped
4 cl Garlic; minced
16 oz Jar salsa
16 oz Can Brooks chilli hot beans;
- undrained
16 oz Can kidney beans; rinsed,
- drained
12 oz Pizza sauce
8 oz Sliced pepperoni; slices
- halved
1 c Water
2 ts Chilli spice mix
1/2 ts (ea) salt & pepper
3 c Shredded mozzarella cheese
In a Dutch oven, cook the beef, sausage, onion, green
pepper and garlic over medium heat until meat is no
longer pink; drain.
Stir in the salsa, beans, pizza sauce, pepperoni, water,
chilli powder, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce
heat; cover and simmer until heated through, about 20
minutes. Sprinkle servings with cheese.
