     Yield: 24 servings

     1 c  Butter; softened
     1 c  (packed) brown sugar
   3/4 c  Sugar
     2 lg Eggs; room temp
 1 1/2 ts Vanilla extract
 2 2/3 c  A-P flour
 1 1/4 ts Baking soda
     1 ts Salt
    12 oz Bag semisweet chocolate
          - chips
     2 c  Coarse chopped walnuts;

 In a large bowl, beat butter and sugars until blended.

 Bake until edges are golden brown (centers will be
 light), 10-12 minutes. Cool on pans 2 minutes. Remove to
 wire racks to cool.
