8 Fresh peaches -OR-
2 cn Peaches; (28 oz ea)
1/4 c Sugar
1/4 c Brown sugar
1/4 ts Cinnamon
1/8 ts Nutmeg
1 ts Lemon juice
2 ts Starch

1 c All-purpose flour
1/4 c Sugar
1/4 c Brown sugar
1 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
8 tb Butter
1/4 c Water; boiling
In large bowl, combine peaches, 1/4 c sugar, 1/4 c brown sugar, 1/4 ts
cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and starch. Toss to coat evenly, and
pour into a 2 qt baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine flour, 1/4 c sugar, 1/4 c brown
sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter. Stir in water
until just combined.
Remove peaches from oven and drop spoonfuls of topping over them.
Sprinkle entire cobbler with sugar and cinnamon mixture. Bake until
toping is golden, about 30 minutes.
