1 lb Carrots; coarsely grated
2 md Apples; grated
1 c Yogurt; firm
1 tb Honey
1 pn Celery seed
1 sm Lemon; juiced
A few dashes of salt and
-pepper
MMMMM--------------------OPTIONAL VARIATIONS-------------------------
1 tb Toasted sesame seeds
1/4 c Toasted sunflower seeds;
-almonds, or cashews
Raisins; a handful
1/2 c Fresh celery; minced
1/2 c Fresh pineapple; chopped
1/2 c Green pepper; minced
1/2 c Red onion; thinly sliced
MMMMM--------------------COLE SLAW VARIATION-------------------------
4 c Cabbage; finely shredded
2 lg Carrots; grated
1/2 c Yogurt
1/2 c Mayonnaise
Combine all ingredients, mix well, and chill.
For the cole slaw variation, substitute shredded cabbage and 2 large,
grated carrots for the 1 lb of carrots. Increase salt and pepper.
Make cole slaw the same way, but let it sit several hours before
serving.
