You may want to edit that recipe. A stalk of celery is a *LOT* of celery.

A rib of celery, on the other hand, (or two) is a more reasonalbr amount
for the recipe.

It's a (pretty much) one-man pedantic campaign to set right an unintentional
wrong in the recipe wrold.  Bv)=

     Title: Hiram, GA's Dago Cabbage Stew
Categories: Beef, Pork, Vegetables
     Yield: 12 servings

     1 lb Ground chuck
   1/2 lb Hot Italian sausage
   1/2 lb Mild Italian sausage
     1 lg Bell pepper; cored, chopped
     1 lg Onion; chopped
     1 md Head cabbage; chopped
    28 oz Can whole tomatoes
          Salt & pepper

 Brown meats in skillet, add bell pepper and onion.
 Partially cook cabbage in a quart of water. Add tomato
 and sausage mixture; add salt and pepper. Cook for 30
 minutes to 1 hour.
