07 February 1812 - EARTHQUAKE CAUSES MISSISSIPPI RIVER TO FLOW
BACKWARDS: The last of four massive earthquakes that began the previous
December strikes in what will be the state of Missouri with a force
strong enough to spawn a fluvial tsunami, causing the mighty Mississippi
River to run backwards for many hours.

     Title: Earthquake Cake
Categories: Desserts, Cakes, Nuts, Chocolate, Cheese
     Yield: 12 Servings

     1 c  Chopped nuts
     1 c  Coconut
    18 oz Pkg German chocolate cake
          - mix
 1 1/4 c  Water; as per directions
     3 lg Eggs; as per directions
   1/2 c  Oil;  as per directions
   1/2 c  Butter
     8 oz Cream cheese; softened
 3 1/2 c  Powdered sugar

 Grease 9x13 cake pan and Set oven @ 350ºF.

 Cover bottom of pan with nuts and coconut.

 Mix cake as directed on package.

 Pour cake batter over nuts and coconut.

 Mix butter and cream cheese until smooth.

 Add powdered sugar and mix well.

 Spoon over the cake batter.

 Bake 1 hour.

 Cool completely.

 Turn upside down on plates.

 SERVES 12
