JW> I buy plain macaroni, never KD.
JW> I always real cheese in my mac and cheese

SH> We do this as well.  The Kraft cheese powder is gluten free so when
SH> our grandson is up and wants KD we can make it for him and keep the
SH> kitchen gluten free!

Except for the pasta part! But I appreciate that you don't want
cheese powder becoming air borne dust while the pasta itself is not
going to contaminate your kitchen.

We used to buy KD whenever our grandkids were visiting as they
preferred it over my homemade version. When I offered them grated
cheese, diced ham or Kielbasa to improve it or chunky tomato relish
instead of ketchup they said," No thanks, we prefer it ghetto style;
it's not supposed to be fancy."

But last time they were here in August all three of them went out
and bought their own Annie's Shells & White Cheddar. It was
marginally better than KD but not as good as mine IMO.

I went online tonight and was horrified to discover that it $3.49 a
box, $2.05/ 100g.

Their blurb tried to justify the premium price with

"We Partner with People & Places We Trust....
To grow the organic wheat.
To make flour for our macaroni and to produce milk for our cheese.
To make your meal wonderfully wholesome & delicious!

We work with trusted suppliers to source only non-GMO ingredients.

Ingredients: Organic Pasta (organic Wheat Flour), Dried Cheddar
Cheese (pasteurized Milk, Bacterial Culture, Salt, Non-animal
Microbial Enzymes), Whey, Butter, Milk, Salt."

Those kids have way too much money!
