DD> the problem

DD> Got any ideas

Given the echo rules I can not say negative things about any foreign
politicians, just my own.

Since you hate gin, I'll save my martini variations for Shawn.

But on a different riff, a little while ago I was out of whisky to
make Manhattans and out of daiquiri fixings for my rum and I was too
lazy to go out so I started experimenting with dark spiced rum and
sweet red vermouth. I buy The Kraken, a black spiced rum from
Trinidad and Tobago. It's premium priced but also premium quality.

I didn't have high hopes for the outcome but I discovered that 2
parts rum and 1 part vermouth with a teaspoon of cherry whisky and a
squeeze of lime juice is downright tasty. The addtion of ginger ale
converts this short, strong drink into a lovely highball. Now I make
it both ways on purpose as a regular thing. Now I just need to come
up with a snappy name for it. Something with more zing than rum
Manhatttan or Cuban martini.

MMMMM

This is from the guy who invented the Sloppy Joe sandwich. He
spooned his "ropa vieja" onto buns.

Cheers
