Suffice it to say there is waaaaaaaay too much chaff and precious little

I don't remember the name of this mugg. The only Baptist preacher's name
I remember is the (now retired) Pastor from the local Central Baptist
Church - Dr. Adam Baum. He and Rabbi Abromowicz are the ones who got
the Interfaith Christmas Breakfast established as a Springfield tradition.
He was also the head of our local anti-war group - which given his name
led to all manner of crude jokes and japes.

RH> We listened to a number of old shows on this current trip, a good one

Lum & Abner was a 15 minute radio "sit-com" supposedly broadcast from
the "Jot 'em Down" store in the (mythical) town of Pine Ridge, Arkansas.
It was the first network program broadcast from Radio City in New York
(1933). The first to do a marathon charity broadcast and the first to
make a transatlantic "simulcast" with Lum in London and Abner in Chicago.
Here's a link to over 1600 episodes - I dare you to listen to one and
not get "hooked". tinyurl.com/LUMNABNER

I see that Harmon's is family-owner and locally centered. They also do
decent recipes.
Are you back home yet?
