The vent for our kitchen goes back into the kitchen.  The most it can do
is to filter out a portion of the grease.  Also, our clothes dryer does
not vent to the outside.  Instead, it goes to a "condensor" which
filters out the lint.

I have forgotten the number of units, but the total population is about
2400.  There are four building clusters, each with four buildings plus a
central lobby area.  Our building has six floors as do many of them,
sometimes with a "terrace" level under the first floor.

We have a variety of walking ability here.  Many can walk without
assistance.  About as many use a cane.  Also prevalent are what are
called rollators -- which is what I use since my legs would colapse
after more than 50 yards.  I could use the stairs if need be, but a
number of rollator folks cannot do any sort of steps.  Finally, there
are many types of electric scooters.
