You can't have it all

You can't have it all. This is something programmers are loathe to
admit to themselves, and fearful of telling their managers and
customers.

But now more than ever it is these words that MUST be spoken.
Because they're true. You really can't have it all. The more
complex software becomes, the more features are packed into it, the
less secure, reliable, and performant, it becomes. It's about darn
time programmers start speaking up for simplicity.
