The fish have such beautiful faces
so they must frequently displace
due to the havoc they wreak in jellyfish's hearts
Jellyfish, hearts so ravaged, go beach themselves in ports
among the shapes of tankers and coal ships
These Jellyfish never retrieve
from water a new heart whose growth their first outstrips
nor as nice, as green, nor as hard
for the jellyfish no longer want to adore these fish with their sharp fins and blanched gills
they no longer want to adore those who's gravity's centre lies
between the sky and the earth
The great sharks, oh they are not bored
with the mattress cloth, ticking called
of which they make winding sheets
for those who astutely drown
who have rushed too close aground
chewing them with verbena
to perfume veins' patina
no the great sharks are never bored
they also have beautiful heads
to ravage in Jellyfish, their unquiet hearts
