Useful habits for improving privacy

Over time I've been watching many videos on the topics of security
and privacy.  In many occasions, many presenters spoke of the practice
of certain chain stores to trace users by means of mobile WI-Fi.

While I've never took the time to collect evidence of this despicable
habit, I would say it is definitely feasible, and obviously incentivised
by the purposes of targeted advertisement.

I hate the ads industry with passion.

Given so, and even if by nature I'm not very inclined to do shopping and
such, and even if I'm stuck home since the beginning of 2020, I got into
the habit of turning off the Wi-Fi when I'm not home.

It is easy to forget about it!  A thing that reminds me in being
systematic is to turn off the mobile data while I'm home, so I'll lack
connectivity when I'm no longer in reach of my access point.

Of course the assumption is that I'll be trying to get online after I
left home and before reaching the shopping center.
